What to do?

Friday is off and the goal is to provide you an uninterrupted opportunity for fun and connection with the Novo family.  Below are handful of organized opportunities to help facilitate the connection.

Take a look and register ASAP, space is limited for some activities.

Note: On Friday, breakfast is included with your conference fee, because people will be out and about, all other meals are on your own.

  • e-bike tour with awesome views of the Columbia River

    Cost: $55 + the cost of your lunch
    (16 and older)

    Included: e-Bike rental, helmet, bike lock and a guide to show you where you are headed

    Depart time: 11:00am
    Return time: 4:00pm

    Description: It is a 10 minute pedal to the stunning Mark O. Hatfield 'Twin Tunnels' trail, which is a 5 mile each way, car-free stretch of the historic Columbia River highway. Total trip distance is 13 miles. Along the way the trail winds through the Mosier Twin Tunnels with gorge-ous (pun intended) lookouts of the Columbia River Gorge. We will pedal into the small town of Mosier for a bite or beverage before reversing course to head back to Hood River.

    Important Comments and Restrictions
    -(16 years of age and older
    -Oregon State law does not allow riders on e-Bikes under the age of 16)
    -This tour goes rain or shine.
    -If warm, wear comfortable, light and airy clothes like shorts. If rainy, bring a coat.
    -If sunny, sunscreen is recommended.

  • Wine Tasting in the shadow of Mt. Hood

    Cost: $15 + tasting fees, wine and lunch

    Included: Transportation to several beautiful Hood River wineries.

    Not Included: The cost of your food and wine.

    Depart time: 11:00am
    Return time: 4:00pm

    Age: No minimum age, but it might not be a great family activity.

    Description: Hood River is nestled in the middle of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, an area known for its dramatic basalt cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife. It’s also well known for its award-winning wines. When the weather warms up and the rains are at bay, it’s a great time to be outside, chilling with friends and sharing a bottle of vino. In Hood River, there are plenty of enticing winery patios where you can hang, chat, snack, and whet your whistle while taking in the views.

  • Mt. Hood Excursion to the Historic Timberline Lodge and a hike

    Two Options:
    A) I need transportation: $15 + Food
    B) I will be driving my own car: Only food cost

    Not Included: Lunch

    Depart time: 11am
    Return time: 5:00pm

    Age: all ages

    Description: Built in 1937, Timberline Lodge has always been a grand refuge for visitors wanting to experience the magnificent and expansive high-alpine environment of Mt. Hood. A visit to the Lodge is like stepping back into simpler times, except for the prices ;-) We will grab some lunch at the Rams Head bar, tour the lodge and then head out for a short hike to Umbrella and Sahalie falls.

    Optional: For an additional cost you can ride the chairlift to Palmer Snowfield at 7,000 feet.

  • Canceled due to lack of registrations-- Brew Tour to several Hood River breweries

    Cost: Free

    Included: Drop off at the first of several fantastic Hood River Breweries.

    Not Included: Food and beverage at the breweries.

    Depart time: 11am
    Return time: 4:00pm

    Description: We will be dropped off at the first of several fantastic Hood River Breweries that boast some of the best beer in the Pacific Northwest. Then from there we are on foot and will walk a total of about 1.5 miles stopping at 3-4 local breweries for tastings and lunch. This is really as much about being together, connecting and laughing as it is the beer!

    The breweries we will visit are:
    Double Mountain Brewing
    Full Sail Brewing Co.
    Pfriem Family Brewers
    Optional/alternate- Ferment Brewing Company

  • Paddle Board or Kayak

    NOTE: This is not an organized tour, you are on your own to make reservations directly with the vendor using the information listed below.

    We recommend sunscreen and grabbing lunch before heading out on the water. There are several great lunch options on the way including Pfriem, Solstice Pizza, Ferment Brewing Company and some food trucks.

    Depart time: Whenever you like.
    Return time: I am not your mom, you decide when you want to return. ;-)

    Description: Create your own adventure on the water. A short walk to the bay will give you access to Paddle Boards and Kayaks. Equipment is available on a first come first served basis or by calling (541) 490-5286.
