Adventure is Calling! Time to get out!

DISCLAIMER: The result of participating in a Novo Conference excursion may cause spontaneous joy, mild altitude giddiness, and an unreasonable number of group photos. DEFINITELY take photos!

The Why:

During every conference, we set aside a day to get outside of the walls of conference rooms and encourage you to experience nature, learn something new about an area you may have never visited before and, hopefully, make lasting memories with other awesome Novo people!

This is a time to breathe and appreciate the world God created…to rest from work, if you will! AND, you should do that with the new best friend you’ve made during the conference!

The When: Monday, July 20th

The day is yours so get out there! Make new memories! Have some gelato! Sing songs and dance! Speaking of dancing, you’ll want to save some energy for the Novo Dance Party on Monday night!!

On a purely logistical note, remember all meals are on your own on Monday; there are no planned meals at Beaver Run.

We have put together a few planned, programmed adventures you can do in a day, both in Breckenridge and just beyond. We will also provide a list of more informal, “create your own” adventure opportunities. With so much nature around, you have endless options. Take a look at the website, talk with your people and make a plan!

Programmed Options:

The FREE One: BreckConnect Gondola & Illinois Trailhead

That’s right, I said FREE. We have organized a shuttle for the day that will run on a loop between the hotel and a couple optional outings. You can do both of them, just one of them, or just sit on the shuttle and keep the driver company. While the hotel has a free shuttle, and there is free public transportation, we wanted to put something together that’d help you maximize your time.

The shuttle will loop between the BreckConnect Gondola, downtown dining/shopping, and the Illinois Trailhead. We will have people stationed at each location to help you know when the next shuttle comes, and where it’s headed. Head over to the conference website for info on the two “main attractions” along the route.

The ALMOST-FREE One: A Day in Vail

Or as I like to call this one, the “Get out of Dodge!” option. While experiencing trailheads, and purposely getting into a glass bowl on a wire that “whisks” you into the air like a bird on the wind sounds appealing to some, there are those that like to stay grounded. If that’s you, we have put together a trip for you right up the road to beautiful Vail, Colorado. Once you get there, you’re free to explore the world famous Vail on your own…great food/drinks, beautiful scenery, and a ton to explore. We’ll provide info for guided tours of the town and sites, including gardens, art, and history. While we can provide info, scheduling and cost will be left to you.

The bus will leave Beaver Run around 9:30am, and will arrive in Vail around 10:30am. Then it will leave Vail BY 4pm, arriving at Beaver Run around 5pm. This will allow you to freshen up and get dinner before the dance party.

More details available on our website.

The NOT FREE One: Breckenridge Mining Tour

Our final programmed excursion is your classic Western US experience: mining and panning for gold at the Country Boy Mine. They are normally closed on Mondays but when they heard we had a group that might want to come they agreed to open up for us. The website has costs and more details. Check it out!

Venture over 1,000 ft. into the mountain and get to explore the original workings of the Country Boy Mine as you feel, hear, and smell what it was like to be a Breckenridge, Colorado miner over 100 years ago. Find and keep your riches as you gold pan in Eureka Creek.

Important Note: There is a deadline to sign up for this one! Registrations need to be completed by July 1st so they can plan their staffing.
